You
will need at least seven different fabrics.
They can be from one-color family or different colors, but for the best
effect you need to use colors that flow from light to medium to dark shades.
Put a small swatch of your fabric on the fabric sequence chart shown below, in
the order you would like them to appear in your quilt. The quilt size is
approximately 55 by 65 inches.
If you want a larger quilt
By
adding a few more fabrics to your sequence, this will make the quilt longer. By
adding a few more rows, it will make the quilt wider.
For the blocks:
q You need 7 different fabrics
- use one of the following:
1/2 yards of seven different fabrics
Or
14 fat quarters, - 2 fat quarters each of 7different
fabrics
For
the 2nd border,
q 2/3 yard this can be one of
the seven fabrics or a different fabric
q 1 ½ - 3 yards for the back -
depending on the size of the quilt
q ½ yard for the binding
q Rotary Cutter and Mat
q Scissors and Seam Ripper
(very important)
q Ruler
q Sewing Machine
q Straight Pins and Thread
